INNOVA3™ is a 3″ insulated metal panel and is ideal for high profile horizontal applications. INNOVA3 is specially designed to provide continuous insulation and meet ASHRAE 90.1 R-value requirements for steel framed walls.

Unlike more traditional insulation products, INNOVA3 insulated metal panels are placed outboard of the structural supports, creating a continuous barrier for maximum thermal efficiency with no compressed insulation or thermal bridges. A specially formed barrier side joint ensures maximum thermal performance and permits hidden application of the vapor sealant within recessed grooves. This protects the sealant from harmful effects of extreme weather and provides an impenetrable water and vapor seal.

  • Based on CF-24, CF-30 and CF-36 panel with 22 Ga. Flat exterior face and 26 Ga. Light Mesa interior face (min Fy = 33 ksi).
  • CF panel clips are fastened to min. 14 Ga. steel with (2) 1/4″-14 SDS Tek 3 at interior supports and (1) 1/4″-14 SDS Tek 3 at end supports. For 12 Ga. or thicker steel, #12-24 SDS and 1/4″-14 SDS Tek 5 may be used. In lieu of self-drilling screws, self-tapping screws may be used.
  • Allowable loads based on panel stress, connection strength and deflection design criteria are derived from ASTM E-72 structural testing.
  • The allowable inward or outward loads is the smallest load calculated with a factor of safety of 2.5 for bending stress, 3.0 for shear stresses, 2.0 for connection and deflection limitation of L/180.
  • The structural capacity of the supports are not considered and must be examined independently.
  • Consult Robertson Building Systems for recommendations on panel profile and gauge suitable for thermal stresses.
