The well-being of our attendees is our number one priority. As our guest of honour, we want you to relax and enjoy this trip. Below are some guidelines that have been implemented to ensure your safety. Please review the information and let us know if you have any questions.
As travel requirements change, they will be updated here: https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid/travel-restrictions/domestic-travel
While many travel restrictions have eased, all passengers must wear a mask throughout their entire journey except for brief periods while eating, drinking, or taking oral medication, or unless otherwise exempt. A negative COVID test is no longer needed for departure.
It’s important to arrive at the airport well in advance of your flight, so you have plenty of time to check in, drop off your bags and go through security screening.
Check-in and boarding gate deadlines
As processing times at the airport are longer than normal due to COVID-19, it’s important to respect the following deadlines for your itinerary. Failure to respect them may result in the reassignment of any reserved seats, the cancellation of reservations, and/or ineligibility for denied boarding compensation.
Itinerary | When to arrive at the airport | Check-in & baggage drop off deadline | Boarding gate deadline | Boarding gate closes |
Departing from Canada to Mexico | 240 minutes (4 hours) |
90 minutes | 45 minutes | 30 minutes |

As of today, Mexico is open to all visitors. No special conditions, health tests or quarantines are required to enter. However, all travellers entering Mexico by air from another country are required to:
Requirement | Details |
(1) Complete a health questionnaire before your trip | Submit this questionnaire online before you fly via the AFAC website |
(2) Show your Mexican Tourist Card (FMM) | Complete this within 30 days of flying to obtain your FMM: https://www.mexicotouristcard.com/ |
|
When you arrive in Mexico, present your passport and pre-printed Tourist Card. Note that many airports do not have paper forms available to fill out on site. By having the completed Tourist card with you, the Immigration Officer simply needs to stamp the Card before you enjoy your vacation.
Proof of vaccination is no longer required to board a plane in Canada. However, all passengers must wear a mask throughout their entire journey except for brief periods while eating, drinking, or taking oral medication, or unless otherwise exempt.
Pre-entry tests are not required for fully vaccinated travellers entering Canada by land, air or water. You must still use ArriveCAN within 72 hours before your arrival to Canada.
Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated travellers must present proof of one of the following when arriving back to Canada:
Antigen tests, which are required for re-entry into Canada, are administered on the resort and are included with your registration.
Regardless of your vaccination status, you must use ArriveCAN to provide mandatory travel and public health information before and after your entry into Canada. ArriveCAN is not only keeping travellers safe, but is part of our ongoing efforts to modernize cross-border travel.
Available free for iOS, Android and web.
The mobile app is free and secure and is the official Government of Canada platform. It is available in English, French and Spanish (displayed in the language of your device). Download the latest version of ArriveCAN or select “update” in your app store.
